Tekulve will serve as honorary manager for the National League side in the All-Star Game and assist Brooklyn manager, Pedro Lopez, while Bumbry will be the American League squad's honorary skipper and aid Mahoning Valley manager, Travis Fryman. Both former big leaguers will also sign autographs on a first-come, first-served basis prior to the game from 5-5:30 p.m, and throw out ceremonial first pitches at the Midsummer Classic.

Al Bumbry Tekulve and Bumbry will join a star-studded list of celebrities at the events surrounding the 2009 New York-Penn League All-Star Game. Guests slated to appear include former Penn State forward Jamelle Cornley and former Penn State kicker Chris Bahr, who will meet fans at the Downtown State College All-Star Fan Fest on Sunday, Aug. 16. The roster of stars for the Celebrity Home Run Derby, which precedes the All-Star Game on Tuesday, is yet to be announced.
