TROY, N.Y.--In 2008 the Tri-City ValleyCats established a new season-long attendance record and averaged over 4,000 fans per game in what was our most successful season to date. In recognition of these and other accomplishments, the ValleyCats were this year's recipients of the New York-Penn League's John H. Johnson President's Trophy as overall franchise of the year.
With the hopes of building off of last season's success, the ValleyCats would like to introduce their first-ever Women in Business and Community Night at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in 2009. Scheduled for Thursday, July 16th, Women in Business and Community Night will be a night of networking, celebration and of course, baseball.
Before the game, the ValleyCats will present their Leading Women awards. Ten women from throughout the Capital District will be honored for their contributions to business and/or the community. The evening will include a networking hour with food, drinks, a cash bar and a commemorative 2009 Women in Business and Community Night gift. Admission to the event also includes a ticket to the 7pm game against the State College Spikes. Plus, the first 1,200 fans to enter the stadium will receive a Michelle Obama bobblehead. Tickets to the networking event are $20 and are on sale now.

6:30pm - All honorees meet behind Section 220
6:45pm - Leading Women honored on the field before the game
7:00pm - Honorees move to seats for game between Tri-City ValleyCats and State College Spikes
