FRESNO, CA - Continuing their week-long announcement of their 2009 Promotional Schedule, the Fresno Grizzlies today announced an eleven item premium giveaway lineup that will highlight Saturday home games. Returning favorites such as jersey t-shirts, fleece blankets, and magnet schedules will be joined in 2009 by one-of-a-kind items like a Grizzlies Magic-8 (Base)Ball and a bobblehead immortalizing Minor League home run king Scott McClain.
Fans will not have to wait long for a gift at the Chukchansi Park gates, as the first 10,000 fans into the ballpark on Opening Weekend, Saturday, April 11th will receive a Fresno Grizzlies Magnet Schedule presented by AT&T Yellow Pages.
The Grizzlies second homestand of the 2009 season will include a Fleece Blanket that will be given to the first 2,500 fans through the turnstiles on Saturday, April 25th. The orange and black blanket will feature the Grizzlies distinctive "F-slash" logo that was introduced prior to last season, and will be presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino.
On Saturday, May 16th, early-arriving Grizzlies fans will never again (during 2009, at least) need to suffer through a day without Minor League Baseball's premier, infield-dragging dance crew. The first 2,500 fans that enter Chukchansi Park will receive a 2009 Drag Kings Calendar. The often imitated but never duplicated Drag Kings star in a 12-month calendar that will keep fans up to date on all Grizzlies games and special promotions.

Fresno opens a four-game homestand with the Salt Lake Bees on Saturday, June 6th and, as everyone who has viewed the "Get Your Fitted On" video knows, will host "As Seen On TV" Night at Chukchansi Park. In honor of the special theme night, the first 2,500 Grizzlies fans will receive a Grizzlies Shammy Cloth. It's durable. It's washable. Your Fresno Grizzlies shammy cloth is the only cleaning tool you'll ever need!
Fans will have an opportunity to put their own mark on the June 20th giveaway at Chukchansi Park. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Fresno Grizzlies Jersey T-Shirt, with a 2009 player's name and number on the back. Fans will be able to vote for which player they want featured on the shirt at FresnoGrizzlies.com in the weeks leading up to the giveaway.
Baseball players are widely considered the most superstitious athletes in any sport, and on Saturday, June 27th the Grizzlies will pay tribute to some of these mysterious and often irrational practices with "Magically Superstitious Night" at Chukchansi Park. Not just a theme night, the first 2,500 fans will receive a Fresno Grizzlies Magic-8 (Base)Ball!
No promotional schedule would be complete without a bobblehead giveaway, and on Saturday, July 11th when the Grizzlies take on the rival Sacramento RiverCats, 2,500 fans will receive the first bobblehead to ever feature Fresno's orange-and-black uniforms. Scott McClain Bobblehead Night, presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino, will immortalize the fan favorite, Minor League Baseball's active, career home run leader.
On Saturday, July 25th, the Grizzlies will pay tribute to the best player in franchise history, and the best pitcher in the National League during the 2008 campaign, with a Tim Lincecum Cy Young T-shirt. The first 2,500 Grizzlies fans at Chukchansi Park will receive the limited-edition shirt to commemorate Lincecum's meteoric rise to superstardom.
The first 2,500 fans on Saturday, August 8th when the Grizzlies take on the Reno Aces will go home with a stylish addition to any Labor Day BBQ! Derek's Franks' Ketchup & Mustard Dispensers will feature the likeness of Derek Franks, the free hot dog throwing character at Chukchansi Park, who will no doubt be out in force on this evening.
Finally, to kick off the final homestand of the 2009 season on Saturday, August 22nd, the Grizzlies will encourage fans to pay mind to the environment during the off-season with a Fresno Grizzlies Reusable Grocery Bag on "Grizzlies Go Green Night".
