Grizzlies Announce 12 Fireworks Shows For '09

FRESNO, CA - The Fresno Grizzlies will continue a Central Valley tradition in 2009 as Friday Night Fireworks return to light up the sky over Downtown Fresno. The pyrotechnic displays that immediately follow the action at Chukchansi Park will both start (Opening Night) and end the season (Fan Appreciation Day) for the Grizzlies.
"Year in and year out, our fireworks shows are the biggest draw on the calendar," said Grizzlies Senior Vice President of Marketing Scott Carter. "In continuing our tradition of Friday Night Fireworks and our massive 4th of July celebration, we are excited to once again add the best fireworks displays in the Valley to the entertainment value of the full Grizzlies Experience."

The 2009 Fresno Grizzlies Promotional Calendar is being released over the course of the next several days. Premium Giveaways will be unveiled on Wednesday, Theme Nights and Theme Jerseys on Thursday, and Celebrity Guest Appearances on Friday. Weekday promotions, sure to deliver the best entertainment value in the Central Valley, will be announced next week.
The Fresno Grizzlies open the 2009 campaign on Thursday, April 9th when they welcome the Portland Beavers to downtown Fresno. Single-game tickets for the 2009 season will go on sale on Monday, March 16th at 9:00am.
