The City of Frederick and Board of Alderman approved the bill to put the state-of-the art scoreboard and videoboard in place.

"All of the renovations we have seen come to Harry Grove Stadium these past few years are a huge step in our continuing goal of enhancing our fans experience," Keys general manager, Dave Ziedelis, said. "We can't wait to open our gates in April and see our fans enjoy the revitalized Harry Grove Stadium."

The renovations are part of a long term project that has seen a new field, seating section, suite level restoration and lighting system put into place over the past two seasons.

The scoreboard will have an all new LED technology speed-of-pitch display, clock and full color high resolution LED message center. The state-of-the-art videoboard will be 50 percent bigger than its predecessor, and will support high definition video input for a cleaner, crisper image.

The scoreboard and videoboard will be manufactured by industry staple Texas Star Solutions. Texas Star has previously manufactured similar structures in many professional and college facilities in locations such as Aberdeen, Md., Midland, Texas, Modesto, Calif., and Ohio State University.

Throughout the offseason work has been underway to bring Harry Grove Stadium into compliance with the Americans for Disabilities Act. Many areas of the ballpark have been renovated to bring the facility up to code.

* A wheelchair lift will be installed on the first base field steps to provide access to the lower seating bowl and field for all disabled patrons.
*Public Restrooms have been completely renovated along with restrooms in the press box and all clubhouses in the facility.
* A new emergency equipped elevator has been installed in the Keys Courtyard, making accessibility to the Suite level much more accommodating.

These renovations continue the project to revitalize Harry Grove Stadium that began prior to the 2007 season.

A brand new field turf was installed before the 2007 season, leading to increases in high level prospects, Major League rehabbing players and attendance over the past two seasons. Keys ownership also installed reserved seating during that offseason, with individual seats equipped with drink holders taking away the bleachers that had stood beforehand behind home plate.

In 2008, the Keys ownership invested in upgrades by refurbishing the entire Suite level including the Keys Café. These renovations included installation of new air conditioning units for each suite, along with the replacement of carpet, ceiling, cabinetry, countertops and lighting fixtures for all suites and the Keys Café.

During the 2008 season, a new energy efficient lighting system was installed, upgrading the outdated technologies and bringing the field lighting up to current Minor League Baseball standards. By doing so, the new system has also reduced light spill into the surrounding areas, ensuring that 90 percent of the light from fixtures is focused onto the field.
