International League
Erik Kratz, Syracuse
.412 (7-17), 6 R, 2 2B, 0 3B, 4 HR, 10 RBI, 3 BB, 2 SO, 0 SB, 1.235 SLG
Kratz entered the week with just a .400 slugging percentage, but found his power stroke repeatedly last week, raising that number 163 points in five games. The main contributor was on June 2, when the catcher hit two home runs in an 8-3 win over Norfolk. After collecting two hits on Wednesday, Kratz would go deep again on June 5 and 6, the former in a grueling 17-10 win over Columbus. In all, Kratz reached base in every game this week, though failing to score after a walk on Saturday ended a five-game streak in which Kratz had been responsible for putting a number on the scoreboard.

Pacific Coast League
Damon Hollins, Omaha
.500 (8-16), 4 R, 0 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 8 RBI, 3 BB, 1 SO, 1 SB, 1.063 SLG
Hollins was drafted in the fourth round of the 1992 Draft, and played 49 games that summer in the Gulf Coast League at the age of 18. In 1996, after rising up the Minor League ladder, Hollins played his first Triple-A game with the Richmond Braves. In 2006, playing regularly with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Hollins didn't play a Triple-A game for the first time in a decade. In 2007, he didn't play in the United States, instead fulfilling a contract signed with the Japanese Yomiuri Giants. This season, Hollins is back with the Omaha Royals, but after struggling for the first two months, this is the first indication that the old Hollins is back. Hollins had three hits in two different games this week, as he looks to turn around a season that's been lowlighted by a .143 average in May.

Eastern League
Travis Ishikawa, Connecticut
.455 (10-22), 5 R, 5 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 9 RBI, 4 BB, 4 SO, 3 SB, 1.091 SLG
Ishikawa has changed the course of his season in the midst of his current 10-game hit streak, bringing his OPS up 143 points. During that time, the Defenders first baseman has seven multi-hit games, and on the week, Ishikawa had an extra-base hit in each game. The streak started on June 3, when Ishikawa had four RBIs, which was fueled by a double and a home run as Connecticut beat Trenton. It was the only game of the series the Defenders would win, despite getting a home run from Ishikawa in each game. The team suffered the same fate in a weekend series against Altoona, though while Ishikawa did not hit a home run, he clubbed four doubles and reached base seven times.

Southern League
Cameron Maybin, Carolina
.400 (10-25), 6 R, 2 2B, 2 3B, 3 HR, 9 RBI, 3 BB, 4 SO, 0 SB, 1.000 SLG
The Marlins blue-chip prospect is enjoying a nice two weeks, with his batting average up to its highest point since April 23. He has done so by hitting safely in 13 of his last 14 games, including all six contests on the week. Maybin's week started in prime fashion last Monday, when the center fielder fell just a double short of the cycle in a Mudcats loss to Montgomery. Maybin got his double, and another single the next day, and then closed out the series against Montgomery with another triple on Wednesday. Moving back home against Jacksonville over the weekend, Maybin continued his brilliance, with home runs Friday and Sunday and a double on Saturday to keep his nine-game hit streak alive.

Texas League
Jon Jay, Springfield
.500 (12-24), 5 R, 1 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 2 BB, 2 SO, 0 2B, .875 SLG
June could not come quick enough for Jon Jay, who followed a great April with a May in which he hit just .241. With the changing of the calendar, it seems like we get another new Jay, as the Cardinals center fielder got a hit in all six games last week. However, the strength of his week was the weekend, as Jay had three hits in all three games. On Friday, the outfielder had a pair of singles and a triple in Springfield's 9-4 win over Tulsa. After three more hits on Saturday, Jay finished his great week with three more hits, including a ninth-inning home run to force extra innings. The Cardinals would beat Arkansas, 9-7, in the 10th inning following Jay's heroics.

California League
Chad Tracy, Bakersfield
.556 (15-27), 8 R, 6 2B, 0 3B, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 3 BB, 3 SO, 0 SB, 1.000 SLG
Chad Tracy hit 14 home runs in the Midwest League last season, so it was a bit surprising when Tracy entered June with just one home run in 2008. However, in the first game of the month, Tracy doubled his season long ball total, hitting a go-ahead solo home run in the Blaze's 10-8 win over Stockton. On Friday, Tracy attempted to set the tone with a first-inning homer against San Jose, but the Blaze would lose. It took greater Sunday heroics for Tracy to lead Bakersfield to a win over the Giants, a Sunday in which Tracy collected four hits and a walk -- including two doubles -- in a tightly contested 8-7 win. In all, Tracy has hit safely in 21 of his last 25 games.

Carolina League
Edgardo Baez, Potomac
.483 (14-29), 9 R, 5 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 12 RBI, 0 BB, 4 SO, 0 SB, .996 SLG
For the hot-hitting Edgardo Baez, Saturday was the perfect time for a doubleheader. His hit streak began last Monday with a single in the Nationals' narrow 1-0 win over Lynchburg. On Tuesday, Baez would collect two hits, including a ninth-inning home run in a blow-out loss to the Hillcats. In the three days that followed, Baez would collect an extra-base hit in each game, including a pair of doubles in Thursday's series finale, a 16-2 win over Lynchburg. Baez then made the most out of the doubleheader opportunity, collecting two hits, scoring two runs and hitting a home run in each game. In all, the Nationals would sweep the doubleheader over the Blue Rocks.

Florida State League
Kevin Smith, Tampa
.458 (11-24), 7 R, 2 2B, 0 3B, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 3 BB, 3 SO, 0 SB, .792 SLG
After the way Kevin Smith started his week, this award was his to lose. On Monday against Clearwater, Smith went 5-for-6 with two doubles, a home run and four RBIs. He would get another three at the tail end of the week on Sunday, when Smith hit a three-run homer in the Yankees' 9-8 win over Palm Beach. In between the two games, Smith had five hits and three runs scored in four contests, raising his season OPS 84 points in a single week.

Kevin Randel, Jupiter
.407 (11-27), 7 R, 1 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 9 RBI, 2 BB, 5 SO, 0 SB, .778 SLG
Some players say that the designated hitter spot allows them to focus only on hitting. Some prefer to play the field, as it allows them to stay in the game better. Last week, it didn't matter much where Kevin Randel played, because he was going to hit either way. On Tuesday, playing second base, Randel hit two home runs in Jupiter's 12-1 win over Vero Beach, including a seven-inning grand slam off Chuck Tiffany. The next day, this time as a DH, Randel had another home run as part of Jupiter's nine-run eighth inning and an eventual 12-1 win. In all, Randel went 6-for-13 playing second base and 5-for-14 as a DH.

Midwest League
Jeremy Moore, Cedar Rapids
.632 (12-19), 5 R, 1 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 0 BB, 3 SO, 3 SB, 1.105 SLG
It shouldn't come as a surprise that Moore finds himself on this list after a week that included five games at home. After all, the Cedar Rapids left fielder has a .866 OPS at home this season with a .512 OPS on the road. So in five games on the week, Moore collected as many hits as he has in 21 road games on the season. The pinnacle of his hot streak was on Sunday, when Moore went 5-for-5 with a double and a home run in the Kernels' 9-6 win over Burlington. Moore was nearly as brilliant on Friday, garnering three hits -- including a home run -- in another Cedar Rapids win. In all, the Kernels have lost just one of the last eight games in which Moore has gotten a hit.

South Atlantic League
Yamaico Navarro, Greenville
.429 (12-28), 10 R, 2 2B, 0 3B, 4 HR, 10 RBI, 3 BB, 3 SO, 0 SB, .929 SLG
Navarro was shuffled between three positions this week, but it clearly did not affect the Dominican's bat. Navarro's week started last Monday against Augusta, when he played third base and reached base four times. At shortstop the next day, Navarro would be moved to third in the batting order and reach base another three times. However, his best day of the week had to come on Wednesday while playing second. Navarro hit a home run in both the first inning and the fifth of Wednesday's 7-3 win over Augusta at home. Then after cooling off a bit, Navarro found his power stroke again on the weekend, hitting home runs while playing shortstop in a pair of Drive wins on Saturday and Sunday.
