With the 2007 season in the books, MiLB.com is taking a look back at the year's highlights in each Major League organization.

April 10 -- Making his first start in over three years, Brad Baker combined with three relievers on a two-hitter as New Britain beat Portland, 3-1. Baker retired 12 of the last 14 batters he faced.

April 19 -- Kevin Slowey struck out nine over 5 2/3 scoreless innings as Rochester blanked Pawtucket, 3-0, in the first game of a doubleheader. Slowey scattered three hits and did not walk a batter.

April 23 -- Fort Myers' Kyle Waldrop was named Florida State League Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 with an 0.73 ERA in two starts. He struck out 12, walked one and yielded nine hits over 12 1/3 innings.

April 26 -- Luke Hughes' three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning gave New Britain an 11-8 triumph over Portland. It was the Rock Cats' third walk-off win in four games.

April 27 -- Eli Tintor hit a grand slam and drove in five runs to power Fort Myers past Dunedin, 10-4.

April 30 -- Beloit's Jeffrey Manship pitched seven innings of one-hit ball in a 3-0 victory over Fort Wayne. The 22-year-old right-hander struck out eight and walked one, extending his scoreless streak to 13 innings. Manship was named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week.

May 11 -- Matt Moses went 5-for-5 with three RBIs to lead Rochester to a 13-2 thumping of Buffalo. The Red Wings pounded out 20 hits and had five players with multi-hit efforts.

May 12 -- Matt Garza scattered five hits over seven shutout innings as Rochester topped Buffalo, 8-1. He struck out six, walked two and lowered his ERA to 3.75.

May 18 -- Erik Lis belted a solo homer off Roger Clemens in Fort Myers' 2-1 loss to Tampa. Lis was two months old when the seven-time Cy Young Award winner began his Major League career in 1984.

May 20 -- Oswaldo Sosa tossed six innings of one-hit ball to extend his scoreless streak to 19 frames as the Miracle edged Palm Beach, 2-1. He did not allow a hit until Jose Martinez led off the fifth with a single. Sosa walked three and struck out a career-high nine while lowering his ERA to 2.60.

May 23 -- Brian Kirwan yielded one hit over five scoreless innings as Beloit extended its winning streak to eight games with a 5-1 victory over West Michigan.

May 26 -- Dave Gassner tossed a four-hitter for his first shutout in nearly five years as Rochester blanked Durham, 3-0. It was his second career shutout and first since three-hitting Brevard County on July 15, 2002 for Class A Advanced Dunedin.

May 31 -- Tristan Crawford took a perfect game into the sixth inning and struck out nine in the longest outing of his career as New Britain blanked Binghamton, 7-0. He yielded a hit and a walk in seven frames in his seventh start after spending most of his career as a reliever.

June 3 -- Danny Santiesteban homered and drove in a career-high five runs as Beloit pounded out 15 hits in a 14-4 thumping of Peoria.

June 8 -- Nick Blackburn fired a four-hitter for his fifth career shutout as Rochester blanked Indianapolis, 3-0. He fanned four without issuing a walk to lower his ERA to 2.55. The 25-year-old right-hander, making his fifth start since a promotion from Double-A New Britain, hurled his first complete game since Aug. 30, 2006.

June 9 -- Juan Portes matched a career high with five RBIs as Fort Myers cruised past Vero Beach, 8-2. He ripped an RBI single in the second inning, belted a bases-loaded triple in the third and plated another run with a groundout in the fifth to help the Miracle to their fifth win in six games.

June 13 -- Beloit clinched a Midwest League playoff berth with a 7-2 win over Cedar Rapids in the second game of a doubleheader. Steven Singleton delivered a two-run double and Garrett Olson added a two-run single in a six-run fifth inning for Beloit.

June 16 -- The Snappers clinched the Midwest League Western Division first-half title with a 4-3 victory over Quad Cities. Beloit actually secured the division when Clinton lost to Peoria. "We didn't let anyone know," said Beloit manager Jeff Smith.

June 26 -- Rene Leveret belted his first career grand slam and drove in six runs as Elizabethton pounded Princeton, 14-3.

June 27 -- Elizabethton rallied for five runs in the eighth inning and kept its perfect start intact with a 9-7 win over Danville. The Twins improved to 7-0.

June 28 -- Nick Blackburn extended his streak without allowing an earned run to 41 1/3 innings with seven scoreless frames as Rochester pounded Durham, 12-0.

June 29 -- Brian Kirwan and two relievers combined on a two-hitter as Beloit blanked Clinton, 3-0, for its seventh shutout of the season.

July 1 -- Brock Peterson homered and drove in a career-high six runs to power New Britain past Reading, 10-9. The 23-year-old first baseman's previous best was a five-RBI effort for Class A Advanced Fort Myers on April 27, 2005.

July 3 -- Matt Moses drove in five runs and Anthony Swarzak tossed seven strong innings as New Britain coasted to an 8-2 victory over Reading. Moses, who went 3-for-5, fell a triple shy of the cycle.

July 9 -- Deibinson Romero couldn't watch the Major League Home Run Derby because he was too busy putting on a show of his own. He had three homers and 10 RBIs as Elizabethton pounded Greeneville, 18-0.

July 17 -- Kevin Slowey tossed a three-hitter for his fifth straight win as Rochester edged Syracuse, 1-0. He struck out eight and walked one en route to his first shutout since Aug. 6, 2005 for Class A Beloit. It was his Minor League-leading fourth complete game in 11 starts.

July 23 -- Jeff Manship set a career high with 12 strikeouts over seven innings as Fort Myers dropped Lakeland, 4-1. He gave up one run on six hits and three walks to win his fourth straight start.

July 24 -- Chris Cates' RBI double in the bottom of the 12th inning sparked a six-run rally as Beloit stunned Great Lakes, 12-11.

Aug. 5 -- Deibinson Romero's grand slam highlighted an 11-run fifth inning as Elizabethton walloped Burlington, 15-5. He went 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBIs.

Aug. 6 -- Erik Lis went 5-for-5 with two homers and five RBIs as Fort Myers outslugged Daytona, 8-5.

Aug. 10 -- Rene Leveret homered and matched a career high with six RBIs, powering Elizabethton to a 13-2 pounding of Bluefield. He also drove in six runs on June 26 against Princeton.

Aug. 12 -- Oswaldo Sosa took a no-hitter into the sixth inning as New Britain defeated Akron, 8-3. He earned his first win in five starts with the Rock Cats, allowing a run on three hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 frames.

Aug. 14 -- Erik Lis blasted two homers and plated five runs to power Fort Myers to an 8-6 win at Tampa. It was his second two-homer, five-RBI performance in eight days.

Aug. 15 -- Elizabethton clinched the Appalachian League West Division title with a 6-1 triumph over Kingsport. David Bromberg won his eighth straight decision after yielding a run on four hits and three walks while fanning five over 5 1/3 innings.

Aug. 17 -- Brian Dinkelman went 3-for-5 with two RBIs as Fort Myers tied a team record with its 12th straight win, a 9-4 triumph over Lakeland. The Miracle matched the mark set by the 1995 team before losing to the Flying Tigers the next day. Erik Lis, who went 2-for-5 with two RBIs in the record-tying win, also captured his second straight Florida State League Player of the Week award.

Aug. 30 -- Rene Tosoni's two-run homer in the 10th inning lifted Elizabethton over Danville, 2-0, in Game 1 of the Appalachian League Championship Series. Estarlin De Los Santos drew a two-out walk in the 10th before Tosoni slugged the game-winning blast to right field off reliever Steve Evarts.

Aug. 31 -- Elizabethton captured its second Appalachian League championship in three years, dethroning Danville with a 5-1 victory. Michael McCardell gave up five hits and a walk while striking out seven over six scoreless innings.

Sept. 3 -- Garrett Guzman went 5-for-5 with a season-high six RBIs as New Britain pounded out 16 hits in an 11-7 victory over Portland. Guzman hit a two-run homer in the first inning, a three-run double in the second and a run-scoring single in the fourth. Needing a triple for the cycle, the 24-year-old left fielder singled in the sixth and eighth.

Sept. 5 -- Alex Burnett and two relievers combined on a six-hitter as Beloit blanked Quad Cities, 5-0, in Game 1 of its Midwest League first-round playoff series.

Sept. 6 -- Steven Singleton ripped an RBI double in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift Beloit over Quad Cities, 5-4, completing a sweep of its first-round playoff series.

Sept. 8 -- Cole DeVries tossed a four-hitter and Danny Santiesteban homered and drove in three runs as Beloit cruised past Clinton, 6-1, in the opener of the Midwest League Western Division Finals.

Sept. 9 -- Pinch-hitter Rene Tosoni's RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning sparked Beloit to a 2-0 victory over Clinton and a berth in the Midwest League Championship Series.

Sept. 13 -- Facing elimination, Beloit opened a big lead and held on for an 8-5 win over West Michigan in Game 3 of the Midwest League Championship Series. Joe Benson went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Garrett Olson homered as the Snappers scored eight runs over the first three innings.

Sept. 14 -- Matthew Fox struck out 10 over six innings as Beloit forced a decisive fifth game in the Midwest League Championship Series with a 5-0 blanking of West Michigan.
