More fans are singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" than ever before, as Minor League Baseball set yet another attendance record for the third year in a row. Close to 42 million fans filled stands throughout North America last year, continuing a surge in popularity that began in 2004 when attendance broke a record that had stood for half a century.
Why are so many discovering the major fun of a minor league game? It doesn't hurt that state-of-the-art stadiums are popping up like fly balls in cities and towns filled with families looking for entertainment beyond the kind found on the small screen. It also doesn't hurt that Minor League Baseball is one of the most affordable professional sports experiences around. And all it takes to get hooked is one game. The players take the field, the ump bellows "play ball!" and with the first crack of the bat, you realize you're not just watching a thrilling baseball game; you're watching tomorrow's star athletes wrestling for a chance to follow their dreams into the big leagues.
Nine innings and two hot dogs later, you wave good-bye to newfound friends and head to the parking lot sporting a new ball cap with a unique team logo on the front. You have a new understanding of why baseball is America's most popular sport. And just like those 42 million who attended Minor League Baseball games last year, you know without a doubt you'll be back. But next time you'll bring along a baseball for an autograph or two.
The Minor League Baseball marketing staff is dedicated to work with you to help achieve your sponsorship and marketing goals.
