For the second straight night, the Connecticut Tigers completed a comeback with an extra inning win against the Aberdeen IronBirds. Connecticut (36-35) is in 2nd place, and only .5 games behind Tri-City in the New York - Penn League Stedler Division with four games left in the season.
The Connecticut Tigers and the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a two-year extension to their player development contract (PDC), guaranteeing the agreement through the 2012 season. The agreement was announced on Friday, August 27.
