With the champagne on ice, the Vancouver Canadians couldn't lock down the West Division on Wednesday falling 3-2 to the Everett Aquasox out at Memorial Stadium.
For the first time in Vancouver Canadians history, RHP Matt Thomson has been named NWL Pitcher of the Week for the third time this 2010 season. Thomson's efforts vs. Boise and Salem-Keizer did not go unnoticed.
A Vancouver Canadians slugger and closer were acknowledged for a wonderful season in the sunshine on Tuesday. Both A.J. Kirby-Jones and A.J. Griffin were named to the Northwest League All-Star Team.
