The Reading Phillies turned a nail-biting series-finale into a laugher as they rolled up eight runs in the 11th inning and dumped the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 15-7, in front of 5,208 on Wednesday night at The Diamond. The game was the longest in the Squirrels' brief franchise history, contested in four hours and 18 minutes.
The Flying Squirrels will be having a Firework Spectacular presented by AT&T, Delta, and Lite 98 for the Thursday Fireworks Series. A fireworks show will take place immediately following post-game launch-a-ball. It will also be a Negro League Heritage Night at The Diamond.
Merry Christmas from the Squirrels! The Flying Squirrels will be hosting Christmas in July on Friday, July 30th presented by MacLaren Jewelers. There will be a Christmas celebration in conjunction with Girl Scout Night at the ballpark as the Squirrels take on the Altoona Curve.
