'Birds unveil new uniforms

Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds revealed their new uniforms for the upcoming 2007 season in front of a crowd of 400-plus at AutoZone Park Saturday night.

The Redbirds new uniforms were designed by local branding company Oden. The new uniforms changed the appearance of Memphis on the home and road jerseys. The team also added a second alternate jersey, adding a blue jersey with the existing red one. The M on the team's hats has also been changed.

After the unveiling the Cardinals Caravan took center stage with former Cardinals pitcher Rick Horton leading the show. Former Redbirds Adam Wainwright, Chris Duncan, Tyler Johnson and John Rodriguez all answered questions and signed autographs for fans.

Redbirds fans also had a chance to meet and greet the Memphis field staff. New manager Chris Maloney joined new hitting coach Rick Eckstein, pitching coach Dyar Miller and trainer Chris Conroy in a question and answer session with fans.
