Leading up to the 2008 First-Year Player Draft on June 5, the Draft Report will take a weekly in-depth look at some of the most promising high school and collegiate talent that could comprise this year's draft class.
That is, as they say, all she wrote.
It's time for the final Draft Report of the season as things really heat up for all 30 organizations. Just two weeks away from Draft day, and everyone is scrambling to get last looks to try to make decisions a little more informed.
With that in mind, we bring you 10 final names for your perusal, hitting the University of Virginia campus and adding seven high schoolers to go with three Cavaliers. That brings the total up to 124 potential draftees brought to your attention. Read them well, because these are all names who should be drafted fairly early on come June 5.
David Adams, 2B
University of Virginia
Hosting North Carolina in a recent ACC series, Adams shook off what's been a bit of a subpar offensive season for him by going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a pair stolen bases in the opener of the series. Complete Report

Jaff Decker, OF
Sunrise Mountain HS, Phoenix
In a recent playoff game against Pinnacle High School, not only did Decker pitch eight innings, but he hit the winning home run. Complete Report

Robbie Grossman, OF
Cypress-Fairbanks HS, Texas
It's not a great year for outfielders in general, but scouts have liked Grossman's combination of tools and all-out approach on the field. Complete Report

Brad Hand, LHP
Chaska HS, Minn.
The pride of Minnesota, Hand tossed a complete game against Eden Prairie as scouts continued to make the trek north to check out the southpaw. Complete Report

Anthony Hewitt, SS
Salisbury School, Conn.
A toolsy high schooler with a ton of helium, Hewitt showed some early power in a late-April game against Gunnery, hitting a leadoff homer and scoring three runs. Complete Report

Alex Meyer, RHP
Greensburg HS, Ind.
In a late-April start against Batesville HS, Meyer went 4 2/3 innings, allowing four hits and one earned run, walking three and striking out 11. Complete Report

Greg Miclat, SS
University of Virginia
Like Adams, his double-play partner, Miclat did all he could in a losing effort against North Carolina, going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and a stolen base. Complete Report

Michael Palazzone, RHP
Lassiter HS, Marietta, Ga.
Palazzone's last start of the year came on May 14 in the playoffs against North Cobb. Though he got the loss, he did strike out seven over six innings. Complete Report

Second Baptist HS, Houston
In a regional playoff start, Seaton went the distance, striking out 10 and allowing five hits in a 10-3 victory. Complete Report

Jacob Thompson, RHP

The one-time Friday starter has struggled in his Draft season. In a recent start against North Carolina, he didn't get hit hard, but managed to give up five earned runs on nine hits over six innings. Complete Report
