Soap star to send script to 'Claws 05/20/2008 6:41 PM ETLakewood BlueClaws
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The BlueClaws staff is going to the promotional bullpen. Cameron Mathison, star of ABC's All My Children and last season's Dancing with the Stars, will unfortunately not be able to attend the BlueClaws game on Sunday, June 8th due to new obligations with the Style Network. Cameron is genuinely devastated about the news, saying, "I really do apologize for what has happened with this appearance, as it is not typical of how I am. My hands are tied and it is extremely frustrating." To make up for the conflict, Cameron has sent the BlueClaws an All My Children script autographed by the entire cast. Fans can sign up to win the script that day and one lucky fan will be chosen later in the game. But soap fans can breathe easy, as the BlueClaws have moved swiftly and will be bringing in Jason Thompson, star of daytime's General Hospital. For the last three years, Jason has played Dr. Patrick Drake on the hit ABC soap opera. Thompson will be throwing out a ceremonial first pitch on June 8th and will then sign autographs and pose for pictures for approximately two hours after the game begins, thanks to JerseyShoreMoms.com. Tickets are still available for the 1:05 p.m. game. Visit BlueClaws.com, call (732) 901-7000 or visit the FirstEnergy Park ticket office to reserve your seat.
