In addition to these renovations made by the city of Omaha,
the Royals have also made their own renovations. The Omaha Royals renovated
their gift shop for the 2002 season. The gift shop, "Royal Treasures", is no
longer a walk-up stand but is now an 18' x 18' encased store with a display
window, counters and computerized registers. The new store allows for a wide
variety of Royals merchandise ranging from team jackets and replica jerseys to
novelty pens and key chains.
