Boomer's Stats
Height: 6'0"
Weight: Same as a small Evergreen
Birthplace: Bald Eagle State Park
Eyes: White eyeballs, black pupils
Bats: Clumsily
Throws: Sometimes, and when he does, duck!
Defining Characteristics: Crazy eyes, bobble-belly, bright blue fur, red Chuck Taylor's,
and loves the Cutters!
Q: How did you become the Cutters mascot?
Well, I've been good buds [with the Cutters former mascot] Rusty since I met him at a logging competition when I was a tot. Our dads used to compete together. So, one day I followed him back to camp and I used to help out the older guys just doin' odd jobs and, ya know, joking around with them. They always thought I was kinda funny. Then when Rusty went off to pursue his dream of joining the Axeman's Association fulltime, he suggested I take over for him as the Cutters #1 fan.
Q: Do you do any off-season training to prepare for baseball season?
Well, I do a lot of cardio, trying to build my stamina, so I can last 9 innings. Every Tuesday and Thursday I eat three pancakes, meditate, and do yoga as the sun rises.
Q: Okay Boomer, let's get to know the person behind those crazy eyes! What's your favorite color?
Mahogany
Q: If you could be something other than the Cutters mascot, what would it be?
Are you kidding? Being the Cutters mascot is most I could ask for!
Q: What's your favorite flavor of Ice Cream?
Pistachio...or Maple
Q: We heard that this is your first time being out of the forest for any extended period of time. How are you adjusting?
I get a lot of strange looks, but I'm getting used to it. It's kinda nice to be noticed. And I love that people are not afraid to approach me and introduce themselves to me. In spite of these big teeth, I don't bite!
Q: How have you adjusted to life at the ballpark?
I'm still in awe of it. It's amazing how fast some of these guys throw that little white ball! It's even more amazing how they can hit it with that little tiny tree!
Q: One last thing, Boomer. What do you plan on doing when you're not cheering on the Cutters at Bowman Field?
Well, I like to get out a lot and visit the fans. I'll hit the schools, the day camps...just going out and getting everyone excited for Cutters baseball!
